Salma Hayek and her 15-year-old daughter Valentina Pinault both dazzled in complementary red dresses at the 2023 Oscars. But, their choice to match up was even more special because Valentina was sporting her mom’s classic Isaac Mizrahi gown she originally wore all the way back in 1997.
That means the dress is 11 years older than Valentina! The rumor on the red carpet is that Salma and Valentina looked so great Chris De Burgh was going to re-record his classic song, but this time call it “Ladies in Red”.

Six English monarchs have worn the special baby gown. First, Queen Victoria’s first son, Edward VII, then George V, Edward VIII, George VI, Queen Elizabeth II, and Charles III. Princes William and Harry also wore the robe.
Kate Middleton & Carole Middleton
Royal outfit swapping works both ways. In 2010, back before Prince William and Kate Middleton were even engaged, Kate’s mom Carole Middleton arrived on the final day of Royal Ascot wearing a cobalt-blue belted dress with black pumps.
Within a year, Will and Kate not only got engaged but also tied the knot. Royal weddings are expensive affairs, Kate limited her spending and recycled her mother’s outfit at a hospice in Ipswich, in the east of England.

Elaine strutted up to the Marchesa Fashion Show wearing her daughter’s amazing red-and-black, tribal-inspired Ralph Lauren cloak, skinnies, and boots.

David Beckham & Brooklyn Beckham

Queen Máxima & Princess Amalia of the Netherlands
It may not be a crown, but we’ve found the next best thing. This is the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, also known as Queen Emma’s Ruby Tiara, and it’s pretty special as it’s reserved for Dutch Queens only. On the left is Queen Máxima of the Netherlands wearing the tiara to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Sofia Hellqvist’s royal wedding in Sweden.

However, she’s passed not only her style on to her daughter Princess Isabella but she’s also passed on her wardrobe. Mary wore this elegant white three-piece power suit on a 2017 trip to Sweden’s Princess Victoria.

The secret wedding took place in 2016 in Byron’s Bay on Australia’s Gold Coast. Paparazzi had to zoom in from a mile away, and since there are no photos of her mom’s wedding either, here are two pictures of the amazing Margot Robbie in her mom’s dress.

Finally, Kourtney wore a pink tracksuit to pay homage to Kris’ “cool mom” cameo in Ariana Grande’s 2018 “Thank U, Next” music video.
Queen Elizabeth II & Princess Beatrice
Borrowing Angelina Jolie’s frock might be impressive, but how about borrowing a dress from the Queen of England? When Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020, her grandmother, the late, great Queen Elizabeth II, lent her a drop-dead gorgeous white embellished Norman Hartnell gown she first wore in 1962.
Blushing Beatrice also borrowed the Queen Mary Diamond Fringe tiara from Queen Elizabeth, who wore it on her own wedding day to Prince Philip in 1947. And since no one’s gonna beat wearing the Queen of England’s dress and wedding tiara, we’ll leave it there.
